OUR GIRL SHILOH

I've been in pet rescue for around 30 years, but I always found good homes for my rescues.  Shiloh was the first dog I just couldn't give up.  When a friend of my husband Steve was moving and couldn't take his beautiful Australian Shepherd, he asked us if we could find a home for her.  Could I ever!  OUR HOME!  She came to live with us and we've never regretted adopting her as our own. Our "free dog" ended up costing us around $2,000 because when we took her to be checked at the vet the first month we owned her, she was diagnosed with heart worms (which is often deadly if not caught early) and she needed a two month treatment, a very costly (for us) and painful (for her) procedure. It worked just fine ... and we
now have the greatest dog in the world!

Shiloh is a sweet, loving, sensitive girl who loves to be as close to us as possibe and can't get enough love and petting.  She's nine years old now and is very much our Alpha Dog!

Shiloh's favorite treat is a product called Frost Paws.  But it's something that can't be found at every grocery or pet store, so we found a copy cat recipe that she and our other dogs enjoy just as much.  And I'll share it here so you can make it for your family's dogs during these hot months of Summer!
FROSTY PAWS RECIPE:

   1 quart vanilla yogurt
   1 large banana
   3 tablespoons peanut butter
   3 tablespoons honey

In blender or food processor blend banana, add peanut butter and blend.  Add yogurt and honey, blend. Fill ice cube trays. Freeze till solid.
